London based interior designer
Immersed in design, fashion & interiors whilst growing up & a 16 year career in glossy magazines, combined with several successful house renovations meant that a transition into interior design felt right. Friends and colleagues questioned why I wasn't stressed whilst transforming our Victorian family home but for me I felt sheer excitement and anticipation about bringing to life my vision for each of the spaces (all achievable with a very comprehensive to-do list!)
Interior design, room layouts, colour schemes and furniture sourcing can all seem rather over-whelming and stressful, especially if you are time poor, however with the right advice and planning it can be a truly enjoyable experience with life-changing results. I am able to edit the choices, make that list and remove the stress for you.
Interiors advice doesn't have to be a luxury and I work to offer beautiful yet practical solutions for all budgets, whether that's just spending a few hours re-imagining a room layout or much longer on a whole house renovation. I believe in marrying great aesthetics with practicality, the space has to really work for the owner's needs. I am a whizz with storage solutions, in fact some of my favourite rooms are utility rooms and WC's as your house should look the dream but it should also function seamlessly for you. Having 2 young children means I understand that there can be and needs to be a place for everything! I want to make your life easier by making your house work harder for you.

Based in North London, Gracious Spaces offers a personal and flexible design service at an affordable rate; you can up or down scale how much you need me! Whether you just wish to access my advice for a few hours on a room layout or to help renovate a whole house, I would be delighted to help.
Taking the brief, understanding your needs and how you really use your house forms the start of the process and is key to translating and delivering your requirements. I know what it means to provide exceptional customer service. I offer clients a professional and affordable approach to tackling all their design needs. From inception to installation I can take care of everything and ensure that your money goes further. The benefits of interior design can be enjoyed no matter how big or small your budget is.

I work on an hourly rate of £75.00 per hour with a 2 hour initial consultation charged at £140.00
Free of charge introductory phone conversation to help you establish which service or help you require
Hours worked will be recorded to the nearest 15 minutes so all time in accounted for

Interior Design
Full guidance, design and implementation for renovation projects or new extensions and additions. Offering inspirational ideas and curating the perfect edit for your spaces from kitchens to bedrooms and bathrooms to utility rooms. Storage, function and useability form the foundation to then layer on your individual look and style, culminating in your dream space. I specialise in showing people how to use high street pieces to create a high end look.
Room schemes & layouts
Transforming a tired room or one that doesn't function for your current needs via a harmonious colour scheme or suggesting a re-imagined layout with updated furniture options. Following on from the initial consultation, ideas would be presented via moodboards, accompanied with floor plans, product information and retailer list. Available for one room or multiple areas.
Furniture Sourcing
Looking for a statement piece or certain items that work within a tight budget, I cleverly source unique pieces that help recreate a luxe look for less, be it the dream chair or a piece of art. Alternatively, I would be happy to accompany you on a shopping trip to help furnish your spaces
Project Coordination
Coordinating the build, renovation or decoration process by organising all the different elements and collaborating with tradespeople to save you time and remove the stress. Not only offering support but also advice and reassurance on how to allocate the budget, focus the resources and schedule the time. I can also help you source reliable and trustworthy tradespeople.

"Grace has worked with us through a whole house refurbishment. From designing the kitchen and bathrooms, to choosing the entire colour scheme, to sourcing all our fixtures and fittings. We never imagined ourselves as the kind of people who would have an interior designer, but after a chance meeting with Grace and then discovering her incredibly reasonable pricing, we thought we'd give it a go.
After spending some time getting to know us, she put together a design, mood board and product list for our kitchen. We were absolutely blown away. Not only did Grace design a kitchen which was beautiful, precisely to our taste and unlike anything we'd have been brave enough to choose ourselves, but it was £2,000 less than a bog-standard kitchen we'd picked ourselves. After that it was a no brainer and we decided to invest that money into working with Grace across the entire house.
Grace has made the biggest difference in this whole house refurb project. Her attention to detail and encyclopaedic knowledge of the best places to source tiles, lighting, furniture, taps etc.(!) means that we have a house unlike anything we could have put together ourselves. And all within our budget. We're now left with a house that feels too good to be true. Far more stylish, designer and cool than we could have imagined!
